• Enough intact material to trim down to a 300mm square by 150mm high block for each specimen required.
  (usually block samples, well wrapped, padded, and packed in a stout wooden box or crate)

Remoulded:

• Approximately 30kg of <20mm material per specimen.
  Note:
  If the particles are weak and break down during testing (such as weathered sandstone or crushed concrete), then fresh material must be used  for each specimen, requiring around 90kg for a set of 3 specimens. If material is available in limited quantities but can be re-used without degradation for subsequent specimens, then 40kg will be sufficient for a set of 3 but will significantly increase turnaround times due to drying/wetting times between specimens.
